<description>To start...I really like the goal of this event which can start opening the discussion about Italian contemporary architecture. It's not the first one...but could be an additional way to shake up the consciences.
After following the topic I thought about the next issue of italian pavilion at Venice's biennale (which will start in september), cured by Luca Molinari and named &quot;Ailati&quot; and-before that-about the magazine 2G and its issue called &quot;Italian Post war Architecture&quot;.
In my personal opinion the reasons of this unsuccessful condition of italian architecture comes from different problems, such as: to many Architecture Schools (with to many dirty interests in keeping the power) and basically no interest from nobody in thinking something new and giving more opportunities at the young architects. To conclude: no new ideas and to many professors interested only in their sofas. The laws are to much and make the procedures to build the new...much much longer compare to the other countries.
And also there is no culture about architecture. I still don't know any public press which talk about living and making architecture (without be a architecture magazine). On the other side, there are very good specific and historic magazine (Casabella, Domus - also new - The plan, Area) which contribute to amplify the discussion about architecture's world and interest but without any public resonance.
As young architecture student I hope that the situation will change as soon as possible...and I'll do as much as I can to make it better than now.
thanks
