The uterus Ngo talpiot is a boarding house for kids in danger.
talpyot_01The uterus project was designed for children with special needs, whom took part in the design process of The Biological model called uterus in which the embryo grows and develops inspired the design of the kid's room and living area, while metaphorically the kids are the embryo and the surrounding area is the uterus creating a living area that prompts the evolvement of the children.

This fruitful process led to the creation of a childish and enjoyable Environment where every child defines is own private space over and over again.

The kitchen and living room area have turned into a meeting point between the children's bedroom and their family and volunteers.

talpyot_04This meeting point leads to social Interaction helping the children of the boarding house to learn and evolve in their new studying area by their own dream.

During the day the children can enjoy Intimate study areas in the space of the rooms allowing the boarding house guides to personally support each and every one of the children.

During meals the children all share one big table that on one hand is a dinning area and on the other is the base to social interaction. The living room and kitchen space allows the room needed for children to play.

The volunteer's apartment allows a high standard of living answering the personal needs of the volunteers creating a pleasant stay.

The family apartment is very spacious allowing an Extensive living area to grow children while simultaneously taking care of all the other children.
The extensive use of round amorphic shapes creates soft and pleasant spaces for the use of the children and also creates optimism and positive thinking through the house.

The colors were carefully selected in order to create a worm and pleasant feeling that would lead to a positive and energetic feeling to the different rooms and the children's room in particular.

Symbols representing a positive way of thinking were commonly used such as the + and even motives from literature – the curved edges of books.
The board house children enjoy private Internet stations located in their privet rooms and at the public area.

Around each and every child is his own comfort zone with custom storage space for his most private items.

All children also have clothing closets and private personal hygiene areas for not denying the privilege of privacy.
