The New Day for Government Design – 2009 Noon, October 29 Given the economy, a new administration, and the stimulus package, this session will help attendees with what they can expect in the future. Given the current economic climate, changes have been swift and directed at stimulating the economy. With the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, better known as the stimulus bill, government agencies will reap the benefits but need to be prepared for the changes that are on the horizon. SPECIAL EXHIBITS PRIME DESIGN! GSA- Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center Opens at 9:30 a.m., October 28 Together with MMPI, the GSA's Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center searched for a PRIME DESIGN! This unique design competition allows one lucky design firm the opportunity to create the GSA's Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center booth on the show floor at NeoCon East. A call to design firms went out to enter proposals for designing the space and four firms are on board; Clark Nexsen, OTJ Architects, Stratton Design Source, Inc and Zoom, Inc. All entrants’ design concepts were posted on the NeoCon East Web site for 10 days. During that time, more than 9,000 votes came in from the Mid-Atlantic design community for the PRIME DESIGN. The winning design concept went to OTJ Architects and will be showcased on-site at NeoCon East in the GSA’s Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center booth.
