Florida Southern College, a remarkable ensemble of buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright, is the subject of Child of the Sun: Florida Southern College, an exhibition of stunning photographs by Robin Hill. The buildings at Florida Southern are the largest integrated collection of Wright structures in the world and were built between 1938 and 1959. They were placed on the 2008 World Monuments.


Watch, a list of 100 endangered sites, due to significant deterioration. The restoration of the dramatic Water Dome was completed in 2007 and several other projects are currently underway.

The photographs in this exhibition are kindly sponsored by the World Monuments Fund. The photographer, Robin Hill, is a native of England and based in Miami, Florida. Since 1987, he has photographed more than 250 magazine covers, and his work has appeared in leading art, design and architecture magazines and museums.

His Florida Southern series was included in the Guggenheim Museum’s recent show Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward. The series will also be included in the upcoming exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao from October 23 through February 14.
