Initiated in 2004, the Atlantic Seniors Housing Research Alliance (ASHRA) is a 5-year, federally funded project that encompasses all four Atlantic Provinces and includes representatives from five universities, seniors’ groups and other community-based organizations, housing developers and planners, service providers, and government departments.

The Atlantic Seniors Housing Needs Conference will feature presentations of research results from the ASHRA Seniors Housing and Support Services Survey, focus groups conducted in all four Atlantic provinces, and the international case studies. Workshops will focus on the policy implications of these results on seniors’ housing.  Speakers will include ASHRA researchers and guests from both within Atlantic Canada and outside of the country.
