Administered by ATHENA International and presented to leaders across professional sectors, the ATHENA Award’s rich history, international scope and focus on mentorship distinguish it as one of the most prestigious leadership awards one can receive. The ATHENA Award is presented to a woman - or man - who is honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.
As part of the 2010 Women’s Leadership Development Summit, the WLS Planning Committee is pleased to partner with ATHENA International and accept nominations for the following AIA ATHENA awards:
AIA ATHENA Leadership Award: Open to AIA members who have demonstrated excellence, creativity and initiative while actively assisting women within the design profession to achieve their full leadership potential.
AIA ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award: Open to Young Architect members of the AIA licensed for 10 years or less. The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award actively supports and celebrates the ATHENA mission of supporting, developing and honoring women leaders, inspiring women to achieve their full potential—creating balance in leadership worldwide.
