The Manchester  Co-operative Group has launched an international master planning competition, designed to deliver leading edge proposals for its 20-acre site within Manchester city centre. As explained on their web Site: "This is the Northern Gateway site into Manchester City Centre. The last remaining site of its size, it comprises circa 20 acres, includes seven listed buildings, sits next to a mass transport hub and a multi-modal transport interchange."
