3LHD - Green Pavilion / Restaurant in Zagreb Print E-mail
Wednesday, 13 April 2011 15:38

3LHD_187_Green_Pavilion_Restaurant_render_by_Boris_Goreta_01The most important element and the inspiration for this project is the location itself, with extremely high quality existing vegetation densely distributed throughout the plot and gradually diluted out toward the eastern edge. The idea of the new Pavilion / Restaurant is to construct a space by mapping the area of high quality trees and to define the remaining territory for construction. By raising this "cut" green territory in the air the space “below” is created. The basic formal and functional element and a seasonal regulator of light is so-called “vegetative” canopy that has been formed along the entire edge of the roof.

Neil M. Denari - HL23 Building in New York Print E-mail
Tuesday, 08 March 2011 09:55

HL23_2_pshp

HL23, a residential tower by Los Angeles architect Neil Denari, should welcome its first occupants on June 1st, with interiors scheduled to be complete to coincide with the opening of Section 2 of the High Line.

With a silhouette of patterned, brushed steel panels and glass, the fourteen-story building is designed to integrate itself into the public space. The reverse tapering design allowed the architect to realize larger spaces on particular floors, making them close to 40% wider than the street-level footprint, while the low-iron glass gives its façade a more open and fluid appearance. Sustainably built, HL23 expects to receive Gold LEED Certification.

3XNs proposal for the Dublin National Concert Hall is a sculptural showcase which creates a magnificent new home for music, while also providing a framework for the historical context upon which the new concert hall sits.

Dublin-Concert-Hall-06
The new building provides a zone where the urban and park settings come together expressing their own symphony in addition to the music coming from within.

Dublin National Concert Hall is composed of three sculptural volumes, each of which contains its own unique Concert Hall. The three Halls are linked at the Grand Entrance through the historic Butler building and via a plinth; with the organic foyer promoting flow and social interaction between the three Halls.
